As the evenings draw in once again we start to see the trees lose their leaves. Piles of garden rubbish start to accumulate and bags of waste need to be dumped to avoid damp and rot affecting our living spaces and storage areas. Sheds and garages are at risk from fallen leaves which can clog gutters and drains, and build up in corners. Leaf blowers are useful in keeping driveways and patios clear of leaves and rubbish but the scattering effect can be unhelpful. The best solution is to collect up all leaves from beneath trees, and on lawns and pathways, and to remove and dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way.
A clear garden for the winter makes for a pleasing environment for when the spring shoots begin to appear.
