So the new year has begun. It’s time to get busy with the decorating once again. Clearing that garage or loft has become a priority and getting the house straight for the year ahead is booked into those precious evenings and weekends. All these projects are exciting fresh starts, but need planning. And you can’t plan until you have space.
Once the projects begin the rubbish starts to accumulate straight away. But even before that, clearing space is often the first task, and chucking old old furniture and bags of unused junk that has no place in the new room or house. The it’s about stripping wallpaper, scraping paint and pulling up carpets. All this stuff needs dumping, and fast, so you can get on with the task of cleaning and sprucing up, painting and building. New wardrobes, new beds, sofas, a new designer kitchen, or maybe a nursery for a new addition.
And once the project nears completion, hopefully you can look back with satisfaction on a solid creative achievement, rather than a succession of grim dump runs, or worse still, broken or lost possessions that got caught up in an unholy mess.
So, why not do yourself a favour. When you plan your DIY project, make sure to get the rubbish clearance sorted quickly and painlessly. Either arrange for removal of piles or rubbish bags of waste, or why not book a few tonne sacks that you can fill and have taken away, a convenient and inexpensive alternative to a skip.
